  • Danny Amendola Rides Hot Postseason Into Super Bowl

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will have plenty of eyes on him in the Super Bowl after posting 18 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns during this season's playoffs. Amendola has replaced receiver Julian Edelman as quarterback Tom Brady's preferred target in the intermediate passing game, and Amendola has delivered. Health has always been an issue for the veteran receiver, but he has stayed on the field this season en route to 61 receptions for 659 yards. When the chips are down, Amendola has shown the ability in these playoffs to come down with big-time catches. He will go up against an Eagles secondary that allowed the 14th most fantasy points to opposing receivers during the regular season. The Patriots will try and get the ball out of Brady's hands quickly, and Amendola could benefit with a handful of early targets. He is a decent bet to lead the Patriots in receptions this Sunday and has the moxie to possibly add a touchdown catch in traffic.

  • Danny Amendola Delivers Again In The Playoffs

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola scored two touchdowns and caught seven passes for 84 yards in the Patriots' 24-20 AFC Championship Game win over the Jaguars. With the Patriots down 10 in the fourth quarter, Amendola made a fantastic play, catching a Tom Brady pass and muscling his way into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown. Amendola then sprang free in the back of the end zone to haul in a Brady laser for the eventual game-winning score. The veteran receiver even threw in a 20-yard completion to running back Dion Lewis for good measure. Amendola has taken his game to another level in the postseason, posting 18 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Amendola will be an X-factor for success when the Patriots look to capture their third Super Bowl in the last four years in two weeks.

  • Danny Amendola Has PPR Value Against Jacksonville

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola enjoyed his best game of the season last week, bringing in 11 receptions for 112 yards. Amendola continuously was open all over the field and made some huge first downs. This week he will take on a Jaguars defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers during the regular season. The underneath passing game will be probed first for the Patriots offense, and Amendola should certainly benefit. His stat line will be dictated by volume, making Amendola an intriguing PPR play in fantasy for Sunday. In standard scoring, however, Amendola will be a riskier play because he will not be a top option in the red zone.
