Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said quarterback Nick Foles (neck) will play against the Patriots in the second preseason game on Thursday. Foles sat out the preseason opener due to neck spasms. The backup quarterback filled in more than admirably when Carson Wentz went down with a season-ending knee injury last year and carried the Eagles to a Super Bowl title. Unfortunately for Foles, he'll go straight back to the bench if Foles is ready to return in Week 1. As long as Wentz is healthy, Foles has no fantasy value.
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said that quarterback Nick Foles (neck), will practice on a limited basis on Saturday. Foles is dealing with some minor spasms in his neck, but he should be fine. He won the Super Bowl MVP in improbable fashion last year and has proven he's the league's best insurance policy for Carson Wentz. Unless Wentz gets hurt again, though, Foles won't have any fantasy value.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles (neck) missed his third straight day of practice on Tuesday for precautionary reasons due to muscle spasms in his neck and shoulder area. Foles said the issue isn't serious, and he's considered day-to-day. He's unsure if he'll play in the preseason opener on Thursday against the Steelers, but it's unrelated to the elbow issue he dealt with early last year. Foles was the Super Bowl MVP last year but will open the 2018 season as the backup to Carson Wentz. He's an excellent insurance policy for the Eagles, but he won't have any fantasy value unless Wentz is injured again.
