Dwayne Allen News
Miami Dolphins tight end Dwayne Allen has missed practice all week and has played just 14 snaps in the preseason. He'll need to convince the team he's healthy in order to make the team at this point. Nick O'Leary, Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe are likely to make the 53-man roster, while Chris Myarick could stay on the practice squad. Allen caught 13 passes in 19 games in two seasons with the Patriots the last two years, and the fact that he might not even make Miami's roster this year is saying a lot. He's obviously well off the fantasy radar.
Miami Dolphins tight end Dwayne Allen (knee) has been limited due to a knee injury, but he was finally able to take part in his first 11-on-11 work of training camp on Tuesday. Allen was fairly productive in five seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, including career highs of 45 grabs, 521 yards and 66 targets in 2012, and eight touchdowns in the 2014 campaign. He was a role player in New England the past two seasons, mostly non-existent in the offense. Allen will need a long-term injury to starter Mike Gesicki to have any fantasy appeal in 2019.
New England Patriots tight end Dwayne Allen (knee) injured his knee in Week 10 against the Titans. He will not need surgery but is expected to miss a few weeks, according to a source. Even with Rob Gronkowski beat up this year and missing some time, Allen hasn't made an impact on offense, catching only three of four targets for 27 yards. Jacob Hollister has been injured and missed multiple games as well behind Gronk.
