Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly (shoulder) said he is on schedule in his rehab from shoulder surgery and hopes to be ready for training camp. When healthy, Kuechly is one of the best all-around linebackers in the league, but the problem for him has been staying on the field in recent years. He hasn't played a full season since 2014 and has had several scary head injuries that cost him time in recent seasons. Kuechly is a high-risk, high-reward IDP selection.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly (shoulder) and defensive end Julius Peppers (shoulder), who both had offseason shoulder surgeries to fix labrum tears in their right shoulders, may miss organized team activities up through minicamps. Peppers is probably entering the final year of his career, and although he was still effective in 2017, he's expected to be more of a part-time player in 2018, limiting his fantasy value. When Kuechly is on the field, he's still one of the most productive linebackers, but he also has an extensive concussion history and is a high-risk, high-reward IDP player.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly (shoulder) is recovering from shoulder surgery that kept him out of the Pro Bowl, according to a league source. The surgery was done on his right shoulder. Kuechly had left shoulder surgery for a torn labrum two years ago after the 2015 season. He remains one of the best all-around linebackers in the NFL, but injuries continue to be a problem, especially concussions. Carolina will probably play it cautious with him during offseason workouts, but the 26-year-old should be ready for training camp and the regular season in 2018. Kuechly is an injury risk but is still one of the most attractive linebackers in IDP leagues.
