Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz ended the regular season with a dud in Week 17, catching three passes for just 15 yards. Ertz set all kinds of tight end records this season, but he just wasn't the key piece on the offense in a game where Nick Foles led the Eagles into the playoffs. They will take on the Bears and their tough defense next week, but Ertz will still be one of the strongest tight end plays for all formats of DFS matchups in the first round of the playoffs.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz caught 12 passes on Sunday, gaining 110 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Ertz was clearly the focus of the Eagles passing game, drawing 16 targets from backup quarterback Nick Foles. Ertz broke the record for catches for a tight end in this one, and he continues to show he's an elite option every time he takes the field. He'll probably be the focus of the passing game again next week in a must-win Week 17 contest.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday. Ertz picked the worst time of the year to go quiet for fantasy owners, catching eight passes for just 60 scoreless yards the last two weeks. He was targeted 15 times in that span, though, and quarterback Nick Foles looked his way 23 times in the first two games of the season when he started, so we think Ertz will be fine. He's in a bounce-back spot in Week 16 against a Texans defense that has been somewhat vulnerable to the position. Continue starting Ertz as a top-tier tight end.
