Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton (groin) is officially inactive for the wild-card game against the Eagles on Sunday. Burton was added to the injury report on Saturday and will not play on wild-card weekend. Adam Shaheen should step in as the pass-catching tight end with Burton out, but he's a weak DFS play against an Eagles interior defense that has been surprisingly good against opposing tight ends this season. Burton's absence could mean more targets for the three-wide set of Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and Taylor Gabriel.
Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton (groin) was added to the injury report on Saturday and is now questionable for the wild-card game against the Eagles on Sunday. It's a bad omen for Burton's chances of playing in the first playoff game. If he sits, it'll mean more looks for receivers Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and Taylor Gabriel, while second-year tight end Adam Shaheen would become the starting tight end. Shaheen has pass-catching upside, but he'd be a low-end TE play on wild-card weekend.
Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton will have a tough matchup against his former team, the Eagles, for Wild Card weekend. Burton has only one touchdown over his last eight games and now must face an Eagles defense that allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends in the regular season. The Eagles have not allowed a touchdown to the tight end position since Week 7 and only one player (the Buccaneers O.J. Howard) has been able to post more than 10 fantasy points against them. Burton has been a solid addition to the Bears rejuvenated offense but has only 21 receptions over his last eight games. Burton will be a low-floor, touchdown-dependent fantasy option among the remaining eight teams playing this weekend.
