Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins was a big reason why the Chiefs were able to stick with the Patriots in Sunday's AFC Championship Game. Watkins caught four of his eight targets for 114 yards, but was unable to find the end zone. Those 114 yards were the most Watkins has produced since joining Kansas City. He finishes his season on a high note and has WR3 upside for fantasy leagues next season.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that wide receiver Sammy Watkins (foot) said his foot feels fine after playing in the divisional round win over the Colts. Watkins is a bit sore, but it's nothing to be worried about. After having sat out since Week 11, Watkins returned last Saturday and wasn't limited at all, catching six passes for 62 yards. He'll certainly be in play in DFS in the AFC Championship against the Patriots in what could be a shootout. He caught just two passes for 18 yards when they faced New England earlier this season.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins was able to play on Saturday for the first time since Week 11. Injuries continue to hurt Watkins' career, but he's a reliable player when he's healthy. He caught six of his eight targets for 62 yards, but did not score. It appears that Watkins is finally getting healthy again which is going to make the Chiefs offense even more unstoppable. However, he's a risky DFS option because it's unclear whether or not Watkins is fully healthy. He looks better, but who knows if he'll do this again against the Patriots next week.
