New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell didn't do much on Sunday in the loss to the Dolphins. After rushing for 102 yards and two scores in the blowout win over the Lions in Week 1, the former Brown came back down to earth, rushing for a subpar 35 yards on 12 carries. Though the rest of his teammates were also unable to get it going on the ground, this performance wasn't good news for owners who were hoping for an opening week repeat. He will have a chance to bounce back against his former team on Thursday night football when the Jets head to Cleveland.

New York Jets running backs Isaiah Crowell and Bilal Powell will be the top two ball carriers for the team, with Elijah McGuire, Trenton Cannon and Lawrence Thomas fighting for scraps. The team chopped down its roster to 53 over the weekend, paring Thomas Rawls, Charcandrick West, George Atkinson and Dimitri Flowers, the latter being a fullback. Crowell is a decent low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option, particularly in PPR formats, while Powell is a solid RB3 or flex play for his work catching the ball. None of the others warrant fantasy consideration at this point unless injuries strike the top two backs.

New York Jets running back Isaiah Crowell (concussion) was able to play in Friday's preseason game against the New York Giants. He carried four times for just six yards while adding two receptions for 18 yards before checking out in the first half. While he wasn't necessarily sharp, it was a good sign that he was healthy enough to play in the key third preseason game. Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief. Crowell is expected to open as the top dog in the backfield, sharing a majority of the touches with Bilal Powell. He is a decent low-end RB2 or flex play in most fantasy formats.
