Dontrelle Inman News
The Washington Football Team elevated wide receiver Dontrelle Inman from the practice squad to the active roster on Friday ahead of the team's wild-card playoff game on Saturday night against the Buccaneers. Although Terry McLaurin (ankle) is questionable for wild-card weekend, he's expected to play. Inman just gives the team some experienced receiver depth for a group that is on the young side heading into the postseason. The 31-year-old pass-catcher has started just two of the 10 games he's played in this year, catching 18 passes on 28 targets for 163 yards and two touchdowns. Washington may have to throw the ball often to keep up with Tampa, but Inman should be ignored for fantasy purposes.
The Washington Football Team is releasing wide receiver Dontrelle Inman on Saturday in order to activate rookie wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden off of Injured Reserve, according to a source. Inman could be a nice veteran addition off waivers down the stretch for a contending club. After playing for the Colts and Chargers in 2019, Inman had just 18 receptions (28 targets) for 163 yards and two touchdowns in nine games (two starts) for Washington this season. No other receiver outside of second-year wideout Terry McLaurin has been a consistent fantasy threat for Washington in 2020. Cam Sims and Steven Sims Jr. should have more chances this weekend against the Panthers, but tight end Logan Thomas is the only realistic fantasy starter. Gandy-Golden will just be hoping to get his feet wet in the final two games of the season.
Washington Football Team wide receiver Dontrelle Inman (hamstring) will miss his third game in a row on Sunday against the Bengals. With Inman out, we'll see more of both Cam Sims and Steven Sims Jr. This could be a good game for the Washington passing attack, and while Terry McLaurin will benefit most from that, both of the Sims have upside, with Cam as a WR4 in all formats and Steven as a WR4 in full PPR.
