Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was not asked to do much in the team's dominant win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Mariota completed 18 of 24 passes for 162 yards and an interception, but he was basically just there to feed running back Derrick Henry for the majority of the game as he eclipsed the franchise record for rushing yards in a single game. Expect Mariota to have to do more going forward for the Titans to continue to win and keep their playoff hopes alive, but his inconsistency will keep him in the QB2 range.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota led his team to victory in the second half after a horrible start against the Jets. Mariota finished the game with 282 passing yards, two touchdowns, one interception and completed 20 of 35 passes. Mariota racked up 43 rushing yards to accompany his good performance in the pocket. The Titans head to Jacksonville coming off a victory on the road in Indianapolis after that held Andrew Luck to only nine fantasy points.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota enters Week 13 coming off of one of the best statistical performances of his career, completing 22 of 23 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns against the Houston Texans. When given time, Mariota has been a very efficient quarterback this season. Unfortunately, he has already been sacked 35 times on the season, which is a big reason for his recurring injuries. If the offensive line can keep Mariota clean against the New York Jets, he has QB1 upside. However, there is little reason to believe the blocking will improve overnight, leaving Mariota a QB2 in this home matchup.
