Breshad Perriman News
The Indianapolis Colts released veteran wide receiver Breshad Perriman on Monday, according to a source. Perriman was trying to find a new home in Indianapolis this year after catching 20 of his 37 targets for 277 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (three starts) the last two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 29-year-old former first-rounder of the Baltimore Ravens in 2015 will now look to latch on with another team before the start of the 2023 regular season. In his seven NFL seasons with the Ravens, Browns, Buccaneers and Jets, Perriman has caught 145 passes for 2,343 yards and 16 touchdowns in 80 games (25 starts).
The Indianapolis Colts signed free-agent wide receiver Breshad Perriman to an undisclosed deal on Monday and waived wide receiver Tyler Adams in a corresponding move. The signing comes after the Colts worked out Perriman on Friday. The 29-year-old pass-catcher was a first-round pick (26th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in 2015. Perriman only lasted two years in Baltimore and has played for four different NFL teams in his seven seasons so far. In the last two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he's caught 20 of 37 targets for 277 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games (three starts). Perriman caught nine of 19 targets in 2022 for 110 yards and a score in 11 games. He'll provide veteran big-play depth behind Michael Pittman Jr. in Indy, but playing time will likely be limited.
The Indianapolis Colts are hosting free-agent wide receiver Breshad Perriman for a visit on Friday. The organization is having discussing about signing the 29-year-old wideout. Perriman has spent the two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he hasn't played a very big role on the team due to injuries. In fact, Perriman has totaled 20 receptions, 267 yards, and two touchdowns in 17 games over the last two seasons. Despite that, Perriman is a decent depth option for the Colts. He likely won't have a big enough role to carve out fantasy value, but he could be a nice fourth or fifth receiver.
