New York Giants defensive back Landon Collins (forearm) is taking part in individual drills at organized team activities on Tuesday. Collins is being eased back into workouts after having a second surgery on his forearm in April, but he should be ready to go in training camp, barring any setbacks. Having Collins healthy in the secondary all year would be a huge boost to the Giants in 2018.
New York Giants strong safety Landon Collins (forearm) is still recovering from a second surgery on his fractured forearm and didn't take part in organized team activities, but he was able to run and is expected to be cleared in a few weeks. He said that he would like to take part in minicamp in mid-June, but it will come down to the decisions of the coaching staff and medical team. The 24-year-old had 104 tackles and two interceptions last season but fell out of favor with the old coaching staff. He should be fully healthy entering training camp, barring a setback, and is a tremendous asset to New York's secondary when he's healthy.
New York Giants safety Landon Collins' arm isn't healing as quickly as doctors had hoped, and he may need surgery to insert a plate, according to sources. If he needs the surgery, he'll likely need six to eight weeks to return to full football activities. That'd mean that Collins would miss offseason workouts but be back for training camp this summer. Collins is a very valuable member of the team's secondary and has 100-plus tackles in all three of his NFL seasons. The 24-year-old had 104 tackles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions in 2017.
