Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) has drawn rave reviews from reporters and is now receiving them from his teammates as well. Tight end Zach Ertz said that Wentz has "the same zip, if not more" on his throws. While Wentz was originally considered questionable, perhaps even doubtful for Week 1, he is so far ahead of schedule that he's looking like a sure thing to be under center when the season kicks off. He's already been cleared to participate in 7-on-7 drills in organized team activities.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) has been cleared for 7-on-7 drills at organized team activities. Wentz is making quick and consistent progress in his rehab from an ACL injury. He'd been working on his own and doing running drills for a while, so 7-on-7s would be his next step. At this point, it's looking more and more like a sure thing that Wentz will be under center for Week 1. He's a strong QB1 option in 2018.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who is usually conservative with his injury estimates, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz (knee) is looking more and more likely to be ready for Week 1. Specifically, he said he is, "starting to believe that Carson Wentz is going to be ready for the opener." The Eagles have Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles around just in case, but if he's healthy, the starting job is undoubtedly Wentz's.
