Daniel Lasco News
New Orleans Saints running back Daniel Lasco (back) suffered a bulging disc in the Week 10 game against the Bills that will keep him out for the rest of the year, according to sources. However, his injury isn't believed to be career-ending. It's a tough blow for Lasco, but he hadn't been a very big part of the offense, carrying the ball just 11 times for 32 yards on the season.
New Orleans Saints running back Daniel Lasco (spine) was taken to a local hospital and will not return in the team's matchup against the Bills. Lasco, who is in his second season and is mostly relegated to the special teams unit, suffered the injury while tackling wide receiver/kick returner Brandon Tate on Sunday. Though he has feeling in his extremities, he will continue to be evaluated.
New Orleans Saints running back Daniel Lasco was promoted from the practice squad onto the official roster on Tuesday. The Adrian Peterson trade cleared room for another RB to provide depth behind starter Mark Ingram and backup Alvin Kamara. Lasco was mainly a special teams player last season before being sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring injury. He carried 11 times for 32 yards as a rookie. Lasco doesn't need to be monitored unless one of the Saints' top runners goes down.
