Marvin Hall News
With virtually their entire receiving corps on the COVID list, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Marvin Hall should see plenty of targets on Sunday against the New York Jets. Hall had one big game for Detroit earlier this season, catching four passes for 113 yards, but hasn't played since being signed by the Browns. Don't expect huge things, but with the other receivers on this team being practice squad guys, Hall should see a handful of targets and is a good dart throw WR4. He's also at rock-bottom prices in DFS, though he may wind up being too chalky because of this.
The Cleveland Browns claimed wide receiver Marvin Hall off waivers from the Lions on Monday. Hall was cut by Detroit over the weekend and has found a new home quickly. The 27-year-old from Washington saw increased action with Kenny Golladay (hip) injured this year, posting career-highs in catches (17), targets (30), receiving yards (290) and touchdowns (two) in 11 games (five starts). There is some opportunity with Cleveland in their passing game with Odell Beckham Jr. out for the season with an injury of his own, but Hall will have to prove himself behind Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge. Hall should remain on waiver wires in all leagues.
The Detroit Lions plan to waive wide receiver Marvin Hall, opening up chances for younger players like Quintez Cephus to see time at receiver over the rest of the season. Outside of the injured Kenny Golladay, Detroit hasn't had much youth at wide receiver lately, so this will give them the chance to see if Cephus can be a future contributor. We'll see if Hall latches on somewhere for the end of the season, but overall this move doesn't have much season-long fantasy impact.
