Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku was one of the stars in his team's first preseason action last Thursday. Njoku ripped the New York Giants for 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns, catching one from Tyrod Taylor and one from Baker Mayfield. Njoku should see plenty of action again on Friday when his team takes on the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 of the preseason. The offensive starters are expected to play at least a quarter this time around, which will give Njoku plenty of chances to find the end zone again. Njoku should be on the radar as a promising DFS option in preseason contests on Friday.

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku turned in a huge preseason game against the New York Giants on Thursday. The second-year tight end caught two passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns to help lead his team to a 20-10 victory. Njoku's first touchdown came on a 36-yard strike from Tyrod Taylor where he absolutely burned his defender to get open down the right side of the field. He later tacked on a 10-yard score from the hand of Baker Mayfield. There had been some camp reports that Njoku was struggling with drops but Thursday's performance should help erase memories of those issues. There is plenty of competition for targets in Cleveland but Njoku could be a fantasy TE1 this season if everything breaks right.

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku finished his rookie season in 2017 with 32 catches for 386 yards and four touchdowns. According to head coach Hue Jackson, Njoku wore down as the season went on, an occurrence which is not unheard of for a rookie. That being said, Jackson expects Njoku to take a big step forward in 2018. The Browns are already committed to Njoku as the starting tight end for the upcoming season. Njoku has some appeal as a breakout candidate in 2018 but he will have plenty of competition for targets in a crowded pass-catching corps in Cleveland.
