Adoree' Jackson News
New York Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson (neck) left Sunday night's game against the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter due to a neck injury. The severity of the issue hasn't been figured out just yet, but he's officially questionable to return. The Giants have been hit hard by the injury bug as they already had Daniel Jones (neck) sitting out along with four offensive linemen and one defensive lineman. Losing any part of this defense against a team like the Bills is hard to endure, but Jackson's health is one to monitor to see if he can make it back into the game.
There have been no indications that the New York Giants want to extend cornerback Adoree' Jackson as he enters the final year of his contract in 2023. The G-Men seem content to let him play out this season and then reassess. Jackson recently signed a three-year, $39 million deal with the Giants in 2021, but he's missed 11 games in the last two seasons and hasn't lived up to his contract when he's been on the field. The 28-year-old will have to stay healthy and play much better for the team in 2023 if he wants to stay in New York after this year. He played in only 10 games for the team last season and finished with 51 tackles (40 solo), seven passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
New York Giants cornerback Adoree Jackson (knee) is expected to miss three to five weeks after suffering an MCL sprain in their game against the Lions on Sunday. The 27-year-old was returning a punt when the injury occurred, which is a big blow to the Giants defense. He has been one of their better players on that side of the ball, forcing one fumble and recovering two fumbles with 40 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles. He also ranks 23rd at the position, according to Pro Football Focus. His absence will make it easier for opposing receivers, including CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup, who they play on against Thursday. New York will hope to get him back soon to help them compete for a playoff spot.
