Justin Evans News
Philadelphia Eagles safety Justin Evans (knee) has been designated to return from IR. The veteran safety injured his knee back in Week 5 and was subsequently placed on IR. Now that his 21-day practice has opened, the Eagles will need to activate him within the next three weeks. He began the season as a starter on defense so his return should be a welcome sight for what has been an underperforming secondary up to this point.
Philadelphia Eagles safety Justin Evans (knee) has been placed on injured reserve and cornerback Bradley Roby has been added to the 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Roby joined the Eagles' practice squad a few weeks ago and played in Week 5 against the Rams but he now will be a part of the regular 53-man roster to help shore up the banged-up Eagles secondary. Evans will be out for at least four weeks. The Eagles' D/ST still has a plus matchup against the New York Jets in Week 6, despite missing a few starters on the back end.
Philadelphia Eagles safety Justin Evans (neck) has officially been ruled out of Monday night's contest against Tampa Bay. The starting strong safety suffered a neck injury in the first half of the game and could not return. Terrell Edmunds saw more opportunities in his absence as the defense held the Buccaneers to 11 points. This defense has been banged up and not quite as dominant as the season prior, but they have been able to post some solid performances. Fantasy managers may want to keep tabs on Evans' status for Week 4 because Reed Blankenship may see increased value in IDP leagues.
