Baltimore Ravens rookie backup quarterback Lamar Jackson continued his apprenticeship against the Titans in Week 6. Jackson, who was behind center for two snaps in the game, scampered for 22 yards on his last play of the game and almost recorded his first touchdown of his NFL career, coming up a yard and a half short. Running backAlex Collins capped the drive with a two-yard plunge on the very next play. The Louisville product now has racked up 94 yards on the ground on 17 attempts. While he does not currently have any fantasy value, if quarterback Joe Flacco is unable to go at any point this season, Jackson will at least have some experience. Im going to be ready regardless, the 21-year-old said. Anything to help my team win.
Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback Lamar Jackson has been used a variety of ways this season. Jackson, who has appeared in each of the first five games, has lined up at different offensive spots as the Ravens have looked to take advantage of his speed and elusiveness. He was on the field for five plays against Cleveland in Week 5, where he threw an incomplete pass and also converted a key third down in the red zone by picking up three yards on the ground. His pass attempt was the first since the first week of the season. The 2018 first-round pick has racked up 72 yards on the ground and has completed one of five passes for 24 yards this season. Unless Jackson steps in for starter Joe Flacco behind center, he is virtually irrelevant in the fantasy world in redraft leagues.
Baltimore Ravens rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson (illness) and linebacker Terrell Suggs (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Jackson should be fine to be active for Week 4 against the Steelers, but we'll have to monitor the practice status of Suggs the rest of the week. Quarterback Joe Flacco has been solid to start the year, so the whispers of Jackson taking over under center early in the season have dissipated. Suggs would be a key loss if he can't play as the Ravens try to slow down an explosive Steelers offense.
