Billy Price News
The New Orleans Saints terminated center Billy Price's (undisclosed) contract with a Non-Football Injury designation on Thursday and also placed tight end Miller Forristall on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to executive vice president/general manager Mickey Loomis. The 28-year-old Price made 11 starts for the Arizona Cardinals last year. He was originally a first-round selection by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018 out of Ohio State, and he spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Bengals before playing for the New York Giants in 2021 and the Cardinals last year. Price will likely need to get past his current undisclosed injury before another team will give him a contract.
The New Orleans Saints signed free-agent center Billy Price to an undisclosed deal on Thursday. Price will head to the Big Easy after making 11 starts in 2022 with the Arizona Cardinals. The former first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018 out of Ohio State will provide depth at the pivot behind Erik McCoy, who has missed nine games due to injuries in the last two seasons. The 29-year-old hasn't exactly lived up to his high draft pedigree, but he brings plenty of experience to the Saints offensive line after having played in 69 games (45 starts) for the Bengals, New York Giants and Cardinals in the last five years.
The New York Giants are shifting around their offensive line and will have newly acquired offensive lineman Billy Price start at center on Thursday night against the Washington Football Team. Price was traded from the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of last month after the former first-rounder only started in nine games in his first two NFL seasons. But the 26-year-old is getting another chance with the G-Men early in the 2021 season. The Giants offensive line was one of the worst units in the league last year, and they didn't get off to a great start in the Week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos. Hopefully for the Giants offense, quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley, Price's move to the starting unit pays off.
