Tre'Quan Smith Has Week 14 Sleeper Value

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith certainly is flying under the radar heading into the team's Week 14 matchup against the Buccaneers. Smith failed to record a catch last week against the Cowboys after posting a career-high 10 receptions for 157 yards and one touchdown in Week 12. Despite the disappointing performance last week, Smith will carry plenty of sleeper value against a Buccaneers secondary that is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Tampa Bay have allowed 18 touchdowns to opposing receivers and the Saints had their way with them in Week 1. Smith had not proven himself yet in the offense but number two receiver, at the time, Ted Ginn posted 68 receiving yards with a touchdown against them. Fantasy owners desperate for points at the wide receiver position could roll the dice on a player in an excellent offense that has a fantastic matchup in Week 14.

Tre'Quan Smith Fails To Record A Catch In Week 13

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith failed to catch a pass in the Saints 13-10 loss to the Cowboys. One week after catching 10 passes for 157 yards and a score, Smith was targeted only once. The Cowboys defensive line smothered quarterback Drew Brees throughout the game and the passing attack never was able to take flight. All of the optimism about Smith's fantasy future will have to be severely tempered after this dud. Smith will have a favorable matchup next week against a porous Buccaneers secondary but starting him in fantasy lineups will come with plenty of risk.

Tre'Quan Smith Will Play Thursday Night

New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (foot) is a full go for Thursday night against the Cowboys and was taken off the final Week 13 injury report on Wednesday. Smith missed the Thanksgiving game last Thursday night but had a season high 10 catches on 13 targets for 157 yards and a touchdown in Week 11. The game before that he wasn't targeted at all in a game the Saints put up 51 points. Smith has a lot of upside, but he's as boom or bust as you can get as a WR4/flex.
