Sebastian Joseph-Day News
Veteran free-agent defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day is signing a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, as reported by NFL Network's Jason McCourty. Joseph-Day spent last season with the San Francisco 49ers but only appeared in two games. The former sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft has compiled 230 tackles, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, five passes defended, and 24.5 run stuffs through his first 71 games with the Rams, Chargers, and 49ers. He will likely slot in as the starting nose tackle next to All-Pro defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons.
Los Angeles Chargers defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day (knee) is still getting tests on his injured right knee on Monday, but the belief is that he avoided a major injury in the Week 13 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Joseph-Day had five tackles (one solo) in Sunday's game before he was lost due to injury in the fourth quarter in Las Vegas. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to play in Week 14 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, but it looks like the 27-year-old will return again this year. Joseph-Day has posted 44 tackles (21 solo), seven tackles for loss, five QB hits, one safety, one sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 12 starts for the Chargers in his first year with the team.
Los Angeles Rams impending free-agent defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day is unlikely to re-sign with the team after suffering a torn pectoral that sidelined him for most of 2021. But when healthy, the former sixth-round pick has become one of the league's best run defenders and all around nose tackles. The Rams will rework Aaron Donald's contract if he returns, they want to re-sign Von Miller, and they are developing Marquise Copeland and Bobby Brown at the position. It means they probably won't be able to afford to bring Joseph-Day back in 2022. Joseph-Day should be one of the more appealing players available at his position this offseason on the open market.
