Bo Scarbrough News
The Seattle Seahawks signed running back Bo Scarbrough to their practice squad on Wednesday. Seattle has been missing running backs Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) the last few weeks, leaving them pretty thin in the backfield. Rookie DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer are the only healthy backs on the active roster, although Carson and Hyde both have a chance to return in Week 10 against the Rams. Scarbrough, who was cut by Detroit this year after not playing in a single game, ran the ball 89 times for 377 yards and one touchdown in six games for the Lions in 2019. He's unlikely to be much of a factor in Seattle, even if he's brought up to the active roster at some point.
Free-agent running back Bo Scarbrough will try out for the Seattle Seahawks. Scarbrough was buried on Detroit's crowded backfield depth chart and was let go this year before playing at all. He ran the ball 89 times for 377 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and one touchdown in six games for the Lions last season. Seattle running backs Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) will miss their second straight games in Week 9 against the Bills, leaving Seattle pretty thin in the running back room. Rookie DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer are the only backs left on the active roster, so Scarbrough would be providing some more depth there if he were to sign.
Detroit Lions running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs) is active for Week 16 against the Broncos. Scarbrough is returning after a one-week absence, but he won't be fantasy relevant for the fantasy finals with Kerryon Johnson (knee) coming off Injured Reserve. Johnson could have his snaps limited after a two-month absence, but his presence alone in this backfield makes Scarbrough mostly a non-factor. With both Johnson and Scarbrough active, Wes Hills will be a healthy scratch. It's tough to trust anyone in Detroit's offense with quarterback David Blough leading this team.
