Ross Dwelley News
San Francisco 49ers tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Dwelley has not seen the field since Week 13 and will be held out of the regular season finale with the Niners having already locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC and a first-round bye for the playoffs. The 28-year-old has just one reception all year for 12 yards on two targets. San Fran is going to rest a lot of players in this meaningless game, so fantasy managers should stay away from tight end George Kittle. Charlie Woerner and Brayden Willis should see most of the action at the position for the 49ers against LA, but neither of them will be recommended DFS dart throws.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) and tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) were both held out of practice on Thursday. Jennings' status is seriously up in the air for Monday's Christmas night game against the Baltimore Ravens after he suffered a concussion in the Week 15 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old does have two more days to get back to practice, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he's held out in Week 16. If he can't clear the concussion protocols, rookie Ronnie Bell and Chris Conley would battle for the No. 3 receiver job in San Fran behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Dwelley is completely off the fantasy radar as the team's third-string TE. He's also missed the last two games and is on track to miss another.
San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) and tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) have both been ruled out for Sunday's contest versus the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15. Mitchell will now sit out his second straight game. Jordan Mason had an expanded role in San Fran's backfield with Mitchell out in the Week 14 win over the Seattle Seahawks and even punched in a three-yard touchdown for his third rushing score of the season. However, Mason played only 11 percent of the offensive snaps and just isn't going to see much action behind workhorse Christian McCaffrey to warrant a starting spot in fantasy lineups. The 25-year-old Mitchell will now rest up and hope to return for a Week 16 showdown in San Fran against the Baltimore Ravens.
