Jaeden Graham News
The Atlanta Falcons re-signed tight end Jaeden Graham as an exclusive-rights free agent to an undisclosed deal on Friday. In 32 career games for the Falcons over two seasons, Graham has just 12 catches on 15 targets for 174 yards (14.5 average) and one touchdown. He was signed as an undrafted free agent after the 2018 draft out of Yale. The 25-year-old spent the 2018 season on the practice squad but has appeared in every game over the last two years. Graham had three catches for 25 yards (8.3 average) and no touchdowns in the 2020 season and also contributed on special teams. If anything were to happen to Hayden Hurst, Graham could step into a much bigger offensive role for an offense that can put up points with the best of them.
Atlanta Falcons tight end Jaeden Graham had a solid performance against the Saints on Thanksgiving. He caught all four of his targets for 41 yards and scored the first touchdown of his career. Graham has seen some extra opportunities in the absence of Austin Hooper (back) the past three weeks, but this was his first game with over two targets. The Falcons have a long week of rest prior to their Week 14 game against the Panthers and there's a chance that Hooper will be back. The team was also without Julio Jones (shoulder) for this game, which helped Graham as well.
Atlanta Falcons tight end Jaeden Graham made his biggest play of the year in Week 12, reeling in a 53-yard reception against the Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that was his only catch in the game. Graham has been the team's primary pass-catching tight end since Austin Hooper (knee) has been out, but that's not really saying much as he has only three catches the past two weeks. Hooper appears likely to miss his third straight game this week and the team could be without star receiver Julio Jones (shoulder) as well. Jones's absence could provide a few additional opportunities for Graham, but he's still a very risky play as it's unlikely he'll see more than four or five targets, and even that is being a bit generous as his season-high in targets is two. Avoid starting Graham this week unless you have no other options.
