Devlin Hodges News
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges gets to face off with the Baltimore Ravens in a win-or-go-home matchup on Sunday. Hodges has started each of the last four games, and despite being benched in Week 16 for Mason Rudolph (shoulder), the rookie will get his fifth straight start since Rudolph got placed on injured reserve. The Ravens are already sitting Earl Thomas and could potentially save Jimmy Smith and Marcus Peters. However, even if they sit out, Hodges and his six interceptions over the last two games has shown that he can't be trusted for DFS purposes.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph has replaced Devlin Hodges under center in Week 16 against the Jets. Hodges came into this one on a short leash after throwing four interceptions in the Week 15 loss to the Bills, and he was yanked against New York after going 7-for-9 for 53 yards and two more picks. That's especially disappointing against a bad Jets Defense, even if they did get All-Pro safety Jamal Adams back on Sunday. The expectations weren't very high for Hodges to begin with, though. Rudolph wasn't any better than Hodges earlier this year as a game manager, but he might be able to give Pittsburgh's floundering offense a spark in a must-win game.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges is reportedly on a short leash entering Week 16's meeting with the Jets. The Steelers need a win to keep pace for the sixth seed in the AFC, so head coach Mike Tomlin has backup quarterback Mason Rudolph prepared to play if Hodges struggles. This shouldn't have too much of an effect in fantasy, as neither quarterback is a prolific passer, but owners in two-quarterback leagues who planned to start Hodges might want to have a backup plan.
