Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant should be in line for another solid fantasy outing against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Bryant has so far made all three of his field goal attempts and four of his five extra point attempts. Bryant's value this season will be very much reflective of the Falcons efficiency in the red zone. If they struggle then Bryant will have the opportunity to put up double-digit performances. However, if they are efficient in the red zone then Bryant should still see solid numbers simply from extra points. Bryant feels like one of the safest kickers in fantasy right now and should always have a floor of around five or six fantasy points. However, given the ability of this offense to get into or close to the red zone he could also have the potential to reach as high as 15 fantasy points on a good day. I expect this week to be a shootout with the Saints, meaning Bryant should get plenty of opportunities, even if it is just for extra points.
Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant made all of his kicks on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. While the rest of the league seemed to suffer from kicking woes the Falcons veteran kicker went about his business in his normal reliable way. Bryant made his only field goal opportunity from 44 yards and put all three of his extra point opportunities through the uprights. Bryant's reliability makes him a useful kicker in fantasy leagues, especially given that this offense is seemingly always threatening the end zone. In addition, if the red-zone woes return for the offense then Bryant could have some really nice days for your fantasy team.
Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant is the only person on the Falcons team who benefits from the Falcons issues within the red zone. The teams inability to get the ball into the end zone means that there should be plenty of opportunities for Bryant to make field goals. Unless the Falcons can fix their issues in the red zone, then Bryant should continue to get those opportunities and continue to put up good points for fantasy owners. This week the Falcons face a tough defense in the Carolina Panthers, meaning this is unlikely to be the week where those issues get fixed.
