Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (head) is no longer in the concussion protocol. Big Ben is fine, although he's still unlikely to play in the second preseason game this week. The oft-injured quarterback needs to take better care of his body as he ages, and that's one of the biggest reasons why he's not as intriguing as a QB1 despite leading one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. You'll want to cover your bases with a solid backup if you take Roethlisberger as your QB1.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is intrigued by rookie wide receiver James Washington. "You see him getting better every day," Roethlisberger said. "Early in camp, we were talking about he couldn't even get on the field with me. Now we're asking for him to be on the field so he can get some reps and we can see what he can do." Washington is still a bit raw, but he has been able to make grabs in traffic. He had two corner end-zone touchdowns with Roethlisberger in 11-on-11 drills in practice last week. Washington will likely be behind Antonio Brown, Juju Smith-Schuster, Justin Hunter and Darrius Heyward-Bey when the season starts, but he has intriguing potential and could make some noise eventually. He's more of a sneaky target in dynasty leagues, though.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may have suffered a concussion during practice on Tuesday. The veteran quarterback went down on a play in practice and appeared fall on his head. He then touched his head a few times and left the field with trainers, presumably to get evaluated for a concussion. Roethlisberger already wasn't scheduled to play in the preseason on Thursday but expect him to miss a few days if he did suffer a head injury.
