The Kansas City Chiefs are an option to sign free-agent quarterback Matt Moore. Moore is one of the more attractive backup quarterbacks remaining on the market. He has spent the last seven years with Miami, playing in eight games the last two seasons while tossing 12 touchdowns to eight interceptions. In Kansas City, he'd just be holding the clipboard for young quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore has been a veteran presence for Miami, but Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports the Dolphins are unlikely to re-sign Moore. He is nearing the end of his seven-year tenure with Miami as "both sides currently feel a need for change." While he never came out and directly said it, Moore implied he was unhappy the Dolphins did not give him a chance to start despite the underwhelming play of Jay Cutler this past season. The 33-year-old has carved a nice niche for himself as a veteran backup and should not take long to resurface this offseason.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore, tight end A.J. Derby, defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, running back Damien Williams, cornerback Tory McTyer, and offensive lineman Isaac Asiata and Jermon Bushrod are inactive for Week 13 against the Broncos. Jay Cutler is back in the starting lineup against Denver. Moore is dealing with a foot injury significant enough that he isn't healthy enough to back up Cutler.
