Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has a decent matchup at home with the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. Stafford saved his Week 10 stat line with two garbage-time touchdowns against the Bears; however, he did toss two interceptions. The Panthers are in damage control after getting torched by Ben Roethlisberger for 5 touchdowns last Thursday. With the Lions back home after two straight road games, Stafford will be looking to get back to winning ways. Since Golden Tate was traded, Kenny Golladay has been up-and-down, while Marvin Jones injured his knee last Sunday and did not practice Wednesday. Pay attention to his designation for the game, but if he plays look at Stafford as a QB2 against the Panthers.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 25 of 42 for 274 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 34-22 loss to the Bears. The Lions got behind 26-7 in the first half, meaning they were forced to pass exclusively in the second half of yet another game. This garbage-time production was able to save Stafford's stat line as both of his touchdown's came in the fourth quarter. It was another week that Stafford was under duress the entire game, being sacked six times. Luckily, next week, Detroit gets to face a Carolina defense that was exposed by the Steelers on Thursday. The Lions will have to protect Stafford better if they want to have a chance at their fourth victory in Week 11.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is coming off a pedestrian Week 9 performance against the Vikings when he passed for just 199 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. However, he was sacked a career-high 10 times in the loss, and it seems to be a low point of the season for the 30-year-old signal caller who is without his safety net, Golden Tate. More of the same can be expected against a stout Chicago Bears defense this week. The Bears rank top 10 in the league in sacks with 24 and second in the league with 14 interceptions. That's not good news for Stafford coming off a rough performance. Keep him on your bench this week and hope things get better.
