Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford finished his season on a high note, throwing three touchdowns in the Lions 35-11 win over the Packers. Stafford went 20-for-29 with 323 yards in the contest. Stafford finishes the season with 4,446 yards and 29 touchdowns, each the fourth best mark of his career. A lot could be changing in Detroit heading into the 2018 season, but Stafford should be drafted as a low-end QB1 once again next season.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a rough game on Sunday against Cincinnati. Stafford threw 35 passes but only completed 19 of them. He threw one touchdown and one interception. This was a far cry from the Stafford we have seen for most of the season and a big disappointment for fantasy owners who started him in the playoffs. Stafford will have an easier matchup against the Packers next week, but with nothing to play for it will be worth watching if the Lions give him a break.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has a tough matchup against the Bengals in Week 16. Cincinnati only allows 229.07 yards in the air this season, good for sixth in the league. However, with virtually no running game to speak of and a playoff berth on the line, Stafford will be going to the air a lot on Sunday. He is still worth starting in almost all fantasy formats. His yardage total may be lower than usual, but if he can avoid turnovers, he will be worth the start. He is a lower-end QB1.
