Vontae Davis News
In an oddity, Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis decided to retire at halftime of the Bills 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Davis, who was inactive for Week 1, started the game against the Chargers and recorded one tackle. The Bills defense surrendered 28 points, permitting the Chargers to 284 yards in the opening half of the game. "Reality hit me fast and hard: I shouldnt be out there anymore," Davis said following the game. Buffalo's defense has allowed 78 points and 718 total yards over the first two games of the season. It is going to be a struggle for the Bills defensively, so fantasy players should avoid them at all costs.
Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis (groin) said he has no limitations after surgery to fix his groin last November. "Everything is good, man," Davis said Wednesday. "Im making tremendous strides, tremendous progress. Im on schedule to go, were going into OTAs next week. Theres no limitation, Im able to do everything." Buffalo is expecting Davis to hold down a starting corner spot across from Tre'Davious White in 2018. Davis was a Pro Bowler just several seasons ago with the Colts but managed to play in just five games in 2017 due to his groin injury. A bounce-back season for Davis would go a long way in improving Buffalo's secondary.
Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis said he is still recovering from groin surgery. Davis was medically cleared two weeks ago but still needs time to build up his strength and admitted he will probably be limited for organized team activities. "Right now, I'm still rehabbing," Davis said. "It's a process." The two-time Pro Bowler is expected to line up opposite Tre'Davious White after agreeing to a one-year deal last week.
