Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett has been indicted on a felony charge for injuring someone at Super Bowl 51. Bennett was at the Super Bowl as a fan to watch his brother play, and allegedly pushed his way onto the field, shoving a 66-year-old paraplegic employee of Houston's NRG Stadium. Bennett is facing a possible penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The Eagles released a statement saying they are "aware of the situation involving Michael Bennett and are in the process of gathering more information. Because this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time."

Brand new Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett has agreed to restructure his contract. Despite being up against the salary cap and having to make other moves to lower their cap hits, Bennett's restructure actually raises his cap number from $5.65 million to $7.375 million. $1.725 million of that will be given to him as a signing bonus and $4 million more can be earned through incentives. With more money this year, the Eagles will be better prepared to move on from Bennett next year with fewer cap issues.

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired defensive end Michael Bennett and a 2018 seventh-round pick from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for wide receiver Marcus Johnson and a 2018 fifth-round pick. Bennett joins the Super Bowl Champions and their already stacked defensive line. He's 32, but still playing extremely well. Bennett will pair up with Fletcher Cox to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. This deal more or less means Vinny Curry won't be back with the Eagles next season.
