The Carolina Panthers released left tackle Matt Kalil on Thursday. Kalil signed a five-year deal as a free agent just two years ago and he started all 16 games at left tackle in his first year before spending all of 2018 on Injured Reserve with a knee injury. Carolina this week also re-signed tackle Daryl Williams and added center Matt Paradis in free agency to replace Ryan Kalil, who has retired.

The Carolina Panthers signed free-agent center Matt Paradis to an undisclosed three-year deal on Thursday. Paradis was an adequate starting center for the Broncos the last four seasons after he was a sixth-round pick in 2014. He suffered a broken leg midway through last season but is expected to start at center after Ryan Kalil retired following the 2018 season. Paradis started 57 straight games with Denver and played every offensive snap from 2015 until his injury last year.
