DeAndre Washington News
Miami Dolphins running back DeAndre Washington was given lead back duties last week versus the Kansas City Chiefs. He rushed 13 times for 35 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards through the air. Washington was used as the lead back since Miami really didn't have an other options for this game. Luckily, Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) is trending towards playing in the Week 15 matchup versus the New England Patriots. His presence would basically eliminate any value Washington had left. Regardless, Washington would be a risky option to start for Week 15.
Miami Dolphins running back DeAndre Washington was the last man standing in the backfield for this team. Myles Gaskin was placed on the COVID-19 list prior to game time, which meant Washington was forced into a starting role. The rest of the Dolphins backfield is injured, so Washington saw significant touches in Week 14. He rushed 13 times for 35 yards and caught two receptions for 17 yards in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. It's unlikely that Washington carries enough value to warrant rostering him next week. The New England Patriots have a strong defense and Myles Gaskin might return for that one.
Miami Dolphins running backs Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) and DeAndre Washington (hamstring) are doubtful to play in Week 13 against the Bengals. Head coach Brian Flores said that running back Myles Gaskin (knee) could come off Injured Reserve to play on Sunday. Matt Breida is also out after being placed on the COVID-19 list, so Patrick Laird is the only truly healthy running back on the roster. If Gaskin doesn't return, the team could give receivers Malcolm Perry and Lynn Bowden Jr. some direct snaps or handoffs. Ahmed is in line to miss his second straight game. All signs are pointing toward Gaskin making his return. The Bengals Defense has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to RBs, but Gaskin would be a little more volatile as an RB2 if he's eased back into the fold.
