Kenny Moore II News
The Indianapolis Colts re-signed cornerback Kenny Moore to a three-year, $30 million deal on Tuesday that makes him the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL, according to a source. Moore, who was a Pro Bowler for the first and only time in his career in 2021, had 93 total tackles (68 solo), 1.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and six passes defended in 16 starts in 2023 in his seventh season with Indianapolis. It was a rebound from a down year in 2022 in which he only played in 12 contests. The 28-year-old corner finished last year as the No. 12 overall defensive back in IDP fantasy leagues and should be in play as a starter at the position in those setups again in 2024.
The Indianapolis Colts ruled out cornerback Kenny Moore (shin) and offensive tackle Braden Smith (illness) for the Sunday night game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. Moore was injured in the Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and will miss at least one game. It's a big loss for a strong Colts defense against a potent Cowboys offensive attack. The 27-year-old was seen with a cast on his right leg on Thursday, so there's a chance he'll miss multiple games with his injury. With Moore out this weekend, look for Brandon Facyson and Isaiah Rodgers to see more playing time in the Colts secondary against Dallas.
Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore (shin) was injured in the Monday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the second half and is questionable to return. It's unlikely that Moore will return after he was seen limping to the locker room. He collided with teammate Zaire Franklin on a goal-line play in the fourth quarter and was removed from the game. Before leaving, Moore was leading the team with 10 tackles (seven solo) for the Colts defense. Losing Moore for an extended period of time would be a big blow to the Colts defense to close out the season, but we'll have a better idea of the severity of his injury in the coming days.
