Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks will have his suspension reduced to eight games with credit for time served, according to a source. He will be eligible to return to the team and practice on Nov. 12. Kendricks was originally suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his part in inside trading. The 28-year-old has 15 tackles and two sacks in his three games this season.
Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who is suspended indefinitely for insider trading, is fighting his suspension. Kendricks, the NFLPA and lawyers are fighting to prove that the league doesn't have the right to suspend him "indefinitely," according to league sources. Kendricks pleaded guilty to insider-trading charges on Sept. 6. He's trying to have a specific number of games assigned to his suspension that would allow him to return this year. He has traveled twice to the NFL offices within the last month, but commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to meet with Kendricks. There's no guarantee that Kendricks will be allowed to play again this year or ever again.
Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks was suspended indefinitely on Tuesday after the NFL reviewed his September guilty plea to insider-trading charges, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Kendricks was cut by the Browns in August and pleaded guilty to the charges on Sept. 6. He'll face up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced in December. Kendricks had two sacks and 13 tackles in two games for the Seahawks. With Kendricks now gone, the Seahawks could really use K.J. Wright alongside linebacker Bobby Wagner to help boost a defense that lost free safety Earl Thomas (leg) for the year in Week 4.
