New England Patriots running back James White caught four passes for 49 yards, including 23 rushing yards, in the team's 37-31 win over the Chiefs to advance to the Super Bowl. One week after White caught 15 passes, the veteran running back was targeted only six times in the passing game. White already has one Super Bowl MVP under his belt and has enjoyed a career season with 85 receptions and 12 total touchdowns. He will certainly have to share time in the backfield with teammates Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead but White will see plenty of action against the Rams on February 3.
New England Patriots running back James White enjoyed a monster performance in the passing game against the Charger, catching 15 passes for 97 yards in the 41-28 playoff win. White was targeted a whopping 17 times as quarterback Tom Brady hit White in the flat constantly to move the chains. White is coming off of a career regular season and continued his production into the playoffs. White will, once again, be a top target in the Patriots offense next week against the Chiefs. The veteran running back posted 94 yards from scrimmage with five receptions against Kansas City on October 14 this season.
New England Patriots running back James White will look to keep his fantastic regular season going when the team hosts the Chargers in the playoffs this weekend. White caught a career-high 87 receptions, racked up 1,176 yards from scrimmage with 12 total touchdowns as the most consistent runner in the Patriots rotating backfield. White's production tapered off to end the season but will go up against a Chargers defense that allowed the 10th most fantasy points to opposing running backs during the regular season. The Chargers have allowed 11 touchdowns to running backs since Week 11 and the Patriots may lean heavily on the running game to move the chains. White has plenty of sleeper value in DFS tournaments for this weekend's playoff action.
