Andrus Peat News
New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (pectoral) suffered a strained pectoral muscle in the Week 6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and is considered week-to-week, according to a source. With the Saints playing this week on Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals, Peat will not be able to play in that game. The good news is that the Saints have a bye in Week 8, so there's a chance he'll be ready to return in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders. With the 28-year-old sidelined on Thursday, look for the Saints to turn to either Calvin Throckmorton or Landon Young on the offensive line.
New Orleans Saints starting left guard Andrus Peat (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old's role on the Saints' offensive line tasks him with protecting Alvin Kamara, Jameis Winston, and others.
New Orleans Saints offensive guard Andrus Peat (pectoral) will undergo season-ending surgery on his torn pectoral on Friday, according to a source. Peat suffered the torn pectoral early on in the Monday night win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. The injuries continue for Peat, as he's never played a full season in the NFL since being drafted in the first round by the Saints in 2015. The 27-year-old missed several weeks last season with a broken thumb and also missed six weeks in 2019 with a broken arm. In his absence, Calvin Throckmorton is expected to replace him as the starting guard on New Orleans' offensive line.
