Kwon Alexander News
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander (ankle) was diagnosed with a torn Achilles following the team's Week 10 win over the Green Bay Packers. Alexander suffered the injury early in the contest and finished with zero tackles. Given that fellow linebacker Cole Holcomb (knee) suffered a season-ending injury last week, losing Alexander is yet another tough blow for the Pittsburgh defense. Going forward, the majority of his vacated snaps should go to Mark Robinson.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander (leg) suffered a leg injury in the first half of the Week 10 game against the Green Bay Packers and is questionable to return. It's a notable injury for a thin linebacking corps for the Steelers. Cole Holcomb (knee) is out for the season after getting hurt in last week's win over the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. With the 29-year-old Alexander now hurt, Mark Robinson is taking over against Green Bay. Alexander didn't have a tackle in Sunday's game before suffering his leg injury.
Free-agent linebacker Kwon Alexander agreed to a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, pending a physical. The 28-year-old has played for the Bucs, 49ers, Saints, and Jets since entering the league in 2015. In 95 games, he's totaled 590 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and eight interceptions. Alexander appeared in all 17 games for New York in 2022-23, starting 12 and playing 49% of the snaps on defense.
