Houston Texans tight end Stephen Anderson was a popular waiver add at one point during the 2017 season thanks to his solid ability as a receiver, but in Houston's first unofficial depth chart Anderson sits fifth at the position behind starter Ryan Griffin, rookies Jordan Akins and Jordan Thomas, and MyCole Pruitt. Anderson was expected to be the primary backup to Griffin, but this news suggests he might not even make the team's roster. It's hard to see any fantasy value for Anderson at this point.
Houston Texans tight end Stephen Anderson didn't record a catch in Week 15. Things are bound to get a little better against the Steelers this week, but not good enough that Anderson becomes a guy worth starting in fantasy leagues. He is, at best, a deep league desperation play this week in a tough matchup with a strong Pittsburgh defense and with third-string quarterback T.J. Yates starting.
Remember when Houston Texans tight end Stephen Anderson was a trendy fantasy pickup two weeks ago? His stock has been sunk over the past two games, culminating in no receptions and no yards against the Jaguars. Anderson was targeted three times by quarterback T.J. Yates but was never able to haul in any of those balls. He's completely unusable as a fantasy asset at this point.
