Sam Hubbard News
The Cincinnati Bengals officially ruled out defensive end Sam Hubbard (ankle) for the Thursday Night Football showdown in Week 11 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens. Hubbard will now miss his second straight game with an ankle injury, with Cameron Sample likely taking over him on Cincy's defensive line. The 28-year-old Hubbard is a notable loss this week as the Bengals look to put Week 10's upset loss to the Houston Texans in the rearview mirror in this all-important divisional clash against the AFC North-leading Ravens. The good news for the Bengals defense is that fellow pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson (knee) was removed from the final injury report and will play on Thursday night.
The Cincinnati Bengals have ruled out defensive end Sam Hubbard (ankle) for the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans. An asset in deep IDP leagues, Hubbard will now need to be moved to the bench by fantasy managers in those formats this week. The 28-year-old has started all eight games this year for Cincinnati and has recorded 37 tackles (25 solo), four sacks, four tackles for loss, 13 QB hits and a fumble recovery, which places him tied for 29th in overall fantasy points among defensive linemen heading into Week 10. The Bengals will need others to step up this Sunday as they look to slow down impressive rookie QB C.J. Stroud, who set a rookie record in the Week 9 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with 470 passing yards and five touchdowns.
Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard is setting a new personal goal for himself heading into the 2023-2024 campaign. The former third round pick has enjoyed a pretty successful career up to this point. He has put together three seasons with six-plus sacks and recorded 60 or more tackles in four straight seasons. The 28-year-old says he is feeling the best he has throughout his entire career. In recent years, Hubbard has taken a backseat to Trey Hendrickson as the top pass rusher. However, Hubbard is ready to step up and deliver for this defense. Hubbard says his goal is to record double-digit sacks in the regular season. So far, his career-best is 8.5 sacks, so we'll see if Hubbard is truly up to the challenge.
