Garrett Bradbury News
Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury (back) has been ruled out and tackle Christian Darrisaw (ankle) is officially questionable for the Thursday Night Football contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. A matchup with the elite Eagles defensive line is not a good time to deal with key offensive line injuries, so the Minnesota offense could be mightily affected. While there is no direct fantasy impact caused by these injuries, Kirk Cousins could face additional pressure and Alexander Mattison could have fewer running lanes in the NFC battle.
The Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement to re-sign center Garrett Bradbury to a three-year deal worth $15.75 million on Tuesday, according to a source. The first-round pick in 2019 will remain the starting center for quarterback Kirk Cousins. It was important for the Vikings to retain the 27-year-old, as he's become one of the better centers in the NFL in his four seasons in the league. Bradbury played in a career-low 12 games in 2022 due to injuries, but he's started all 57 games that he's appeared in for Minnesota in his four campaigns.
Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury is set to be a free agent this summer. However, the organization is reportedly showing interest in re-signing the fourth-year starter. Bradbury was solid this past season with a PFF grade in the 70s and only allowed two sacks in 12 games. Sadly for the Vikings, the organization is currently $20 million over the cap. That being said, Minnesota might have to seek other options this offseason unless they find a way to save some money. Bradbury should have no issues finding another team, assuming the Vikings are unable to keep him around.
