A.J. Brown News
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown said on 94 WIP Sports Radio in Philadelphia that he wants to stay with the team. "I have no problem. I want to be here, it's as simple as that. I love where I'm at, it's as simple as that. Next question," Brown said. The 26-year-old Pro Bowl wideout was calling into the radio station to dispel rumors that he could be a trade candidate this offseason. He also said he has no issues with quarterback Jalen Hurts after the team's late-season meltdown in 2023 that culminated in a wild-card loss to the Buccaneers. Brown is entering the second year of his four-year, $100 million extension and will continue being Hurts' top target in the passing game. The no-doubt WR1 in fantasy had 1,456 receiving yards -- his fourth 1,000-yard season in five years -- and seven TDs on a career-high 106 catches last year.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) has been ruled out for his team's wild-card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. Brown injured his knee during a Week 18 loss to the New York Giants and will not be able to suit up in his team's playoff game, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, Brown worked hard in his rehab to get on the field vs. Tampa Bay but he will be held out of the contest. Brown has reportedly progressed enough in his rehab that if the Eagles can beat the Buccaneers and advance to the next round of the playoffs, he could return to action. With Brown out, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert become high-end plays in DFS contests while Quez Watkins becomes a name worth sprinkling into tournament lineups.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) was not seen at practice on Friday for the second straight day this week. Brown injured his knee in the Week 18 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, and although it's not believed to be a serious injury, he has yet to practice this week and is a big question mark for Monday's wild-card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Given his high DFS salary and the fact that quarterback Jalen Hurts (finger) dislocated the middle finger on his right throwing hand last week, Brown has become an extremely risky fantasy lineup option for the first round of the playoffs. DeVonta Smith (ankle), who missed Week 18, and tight end Dallas Goedert could be heavily involved in the passing attack if Brown is out or limited against Tampa Bay.
