Trai Turner News
New Orleans Saints offensive guard Trai Turner (quad) will miss the entire 2023-2024 campaign. The five-time Pro Bowl guard visited with the team on Monday. He signed with the team shortly after that, but sadly suffered an injury as well. Turner suffered a torn quad that is going to sideline him for the rest of the season. The 30-year-old veteran has been a consistent option throughout his career. He started 12 games at right guard for the Washington Commanders last season, but sadly won't get a chance to play this upcoming season.
Former Pro Bowl offensive guard Trai Turner is visiting with the New Orleans Saints on Monday. Turner made five straight Pro Bowl appearances with the Carolina Panthers from 2015 to 2019, but he's played for the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders in three seasons since then. The 30-year-old is no longer in his prime, but he could provide veteran leadership and experience for the Saints' offensive line if he lands in the Big Easy. Turner played in 16 games and started 12 of them last year for the Commanders.
The Washington Commanders are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers free-agent offensive guard Trai Turner to a one-year, $3 million deal on Monday, according to a source. Turner previously played for head coach Ron Rivera in Carolina from 2014 to 2019. The 28-year-old was originally a third-round pick by the Panthers in 2014, and he was named to five straight Pro Bowls in Carolina from 2015-19. Turner spent the 2020 campaign with the Los Angeles Chargers and played in a career-low nine games. He started all 17 regular season games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.
