Tyler Lockett Heavily Involved in Second Game with New Team

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyler Lockett caught five of his six targets for 44 yards during Thursday's Week 10 loss against the Denver Broncos. The veteran receiver made his Raiders debut last week, but he saw just one target in that game, so Thursday's outing represented a major increase in volume for the veteran wideout. Lockett established himself as quarterback Geno Smith's favorite target after the Raiders traded Jakobi Meyers to the Jaguars. While Lockett doesn't represent a long-term receiving threat in Las Vegas' rebuild, he still has redraft appeal as a low-end WR3/flex, especially given his connection to Smith and head coach Pete Carroll from their time together in Seattle.

Tyler Lockett on the Rise After Reuniting With Former QB?

Veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett has joined forces with the Las Vegas Raiders after seven underwhelming games with the Tennessee Titans this year. Lockett will be reuniting with quarterback Geno Smith, whom he played with in Seattle, but will that suddenly make him fantasy relevant again? It's unlikely. Lockett, 33, had just 10 catches for 70 yards and no touchdowns on 20 targets in his seven games in a struggling Titans offense led by a rookie QB. He'll be reuniting with a familiar face in Vegas, but the Raiders' offense hasn't been much better in 2025, and both tight end Brock Bowers (knee) and receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee, toe) are expected to return following the bye to play this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If Meyers is healthy, Lockett could end up being the WR5 behind Meyers, Tre Tucker, and rookies Dont'e Thornton Jr. and Jack Bech.

Tyler Lockett Signing With Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to sign former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett to a deal on Monday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Lockett reunites with both quarterback Geno Smith and Pete Carroll, who spent a few seasons together with the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran wideout played a small role over seven games in Tennessee, catching just 10 of his 21 targets for 70 yards and no touchdowns. He recorded 894 yards and five touchdowns in his last season under Carroll with the Seahawks in 2023, and will be hoping to carry over some of that success for a Raiders offense that is last in the league in points scored. However, Lockett is unlikely to become relevant in 12-team redraft leagues.

Tyler Lockett Released by Titans

Veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett asked for and received his release on Monday from the Tennessee Titans, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN. Lockett is expected to be on the open market and free to sign with another team after 4 pm ET on Wednesday. The 33-year-old veteran won't even make it a full season in Tennessee after joining them via free agency back in March. In his seven games with Tennessee, he had a small role in a struggling offense led by rookie quarterback Cameron Ward, catching only 10 of his 21 targets for 70 yards and no touchdowns. Lockett is clearly nearing the end of his NFL career, but another NFL team will likely take a chance on him as a veteran voice for their locker room after he caught 49 passes for 600 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games in 2024 in his final year with the Seattle Seahawks. It's unlikely he'll suddenly resurface on the fantasy radar in 12-team leagues, though.

Tyler Lockett Not Headed for Increased Volume in Week 7?

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett offers a strong, veteran presence within a struggling offense, but he's unlikely to contribute as a relevant fantasy football option in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. While it's fair to initially suspect that Lockett could steal some targets from Calvin Ridley (hamstring) has been ruled out, that doesn't appear to be the case. Ridley started last week's game but exited early and did not return, but Lockett still just caught just one pass on a 33 percent snap share. Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike are far more likely to handle Ridley's vacated targets, leaving Lockett in a smaller role once again. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Tyler Lockett Not a Wise Fantasy Choice Versus Vegas

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett was once considered a top wideout in the National Football League. Unfortunately, it appears those days are well behind him. In his first five games as a Titan, he's caught only seven passes (16 targets) for 52 yards. While the veteran had his first touchdown of the year in Week 5 against the Cardinals, it wasn't as a pass-catcher. Instead, it came after a wild sequence of events that included a Cam Ward interception followed by a Dadrion Taylor-Demerson fumble. With the Titans coming off a win, their first of the 2025 campaign, the team will look for another victory on Sunday versus the Raiders. Like Tennessee, Las Vegas hasn't looked good throughout the season. With that in mind, despite the favorable matchup on tap, Lockett hasn't played well enough to be classified as a starting option in any fantasy format.

Tyler Lockett's Fantasy Status Dependent on Availability of Teammate?

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett has seen an appealing snap and target share over the last few weeks, and he could be headed for an expanded role in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals. Lockett is currently preparing for the matchup as the Titans' No. 3 receiver, as he has been doing ever since the season opener, but he could jump to second on the depth chart if Calvin Ridley (knee, elbow), who is questionable, doesn't suit up. Ridley has been underwhelming this year but would still vacate around 50 snaps, many of which would likely go to Lockett. There's a direct relationship between the two players' snap shares; every time Ridley has played at least 85 percent of the snaps, Lockett plays below 60 percent. Last week, when Ridley played just 54 percent, Lockett saw his snap share jump to 72 percent. Having someone like Lockett on the field is a good idea for the Titans, who have youth elsewhere in Cameron Ward, Elic Ayomanor, and Chig Okonkwo. A reliable veteran presence with sure hands in the short and medium passing games, Lockett has 12 targets but just six catches through his first four games in Tennessee. A Ridley absence could push Lockett closer to six or seven targets with at least a few receptions, therefore giving him some WR3/flex appeal in the deepest leagues. On the other hand, if Ridley plays, Lockett would probably see around just 50 percent of the snaps, which isn't enough to get him on the fantasy radar.

Tyler Lockett Nowhere Near a Starting Fantasy Option in Week 4

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett has had a miserable year so far. After a stellar tenure with the Seattle Seahawks, the wideout has only six grabs (eight targets) for 46 yards in his first three games as a Titan. Granted, he's older, which won't help anyone's ceiling. However, outside of that, quarterback Cam Ward hasn't played the best, with the rookie throwing for only 506 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception while completing 54.5% of his throws. Lockett has logged 103 offensive snaps, third on the team at the position behind Elic Ayomanor and Calvin Ridley. With that in mind, it's hard to imagine the 32-year-old will turn things around even if Ward gets his act together, especially with Ridley, Ayomanor, and Chig Okonkwo all looking for targets. Keep Lockett sitting in Week 4 against the Houston Texans.

Tyler Lockett Off the Fantasy Radar in Week 3

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been nearly invisible to start the 2025 season. In his first year outside of Seattle, the veteran has managed just two catches for nine yards on four targets across two games. His playing time has dipped, seeing the field on only 53% of snaps while operating behind Calvin Ridley and rookie Elic Ayomanor. Lockett gets a Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, who have allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers so far in 2025. With the emergence of Ayomanor and no reliable snap share or target volume, Lockett remains off the fantasy radar for now.

Tyler Lockett Should See Significant Volume Against Denver

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett will make his team debut in Week 1, facing off against the Denver Broncos. After a long and effective tenure in Seattle, Lockett is now a Titan and will catch passes from rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. The veteran receiver could benefit from this week's matchup. Although Denver has a very strong defense anchored by elite cornerback Patrick Surtain II, Ward could look to funnel passes to Lockett if Ridley is routinely smothered by Surtain on the perimeter. Lockett has developed into a short- to medium-yardage option and can benefit Ward as he gets open to provide an outlet for the young quarterback. Lockett might not crack 50 yards and a touchdown, but he should see at least a handful of targets with the potential to be a low-end starter in deep PPR formats.
