Jordan Eberle Starts Conditioning Stint In AHL
Seattle Kraken right wing Jordan Eberle (pelvic) has been assigned to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds on a conditioning loan. Eberle has missed three months of action following pelvic surgery, but it looks like he is getting close to returning to the Kraken lineup. The veteran winger posted six goals and 11 points in 17 games before getting hurt. Seattle will continue its season on Feb. 22 against the Florida Panthers. Once he's back in the fold, Eberle should reclaim a top-six spot and work with the first power-play unit.

Shea Theodore Out Week-To-Week
Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore (upper body) was labeled as week-to-week by the team on Thursday. Theodore appeared to have hurt his arm in Team Canada's 4-3 overtime win against Team Sweden on Wednesday in the 4 Nations Face-Off. It's a bad blow for Theodore, who is having a very successful campaign in 2024-25 with 48 points (seven goals, 41 assists) in 55 outings. Only four blue-liners have managed more points in the NHL this season. Fortunately, Theodore did not suffer a season-ending injury and should still play a part for Vegas over the final stretch of the season. The Golden Knights return to action on Feb. 22 against the Vancouver Canucks.

Juuse Saros Named Finland Starter For Thursday
Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros will protect the crease for Finland against Team USA on Thursday in the 4 Nations Face-Off. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen of the Buffalo Sabres will serve as his backup, while Kevin Lankinen of the Vancouver Canucks has been scratched for the contest. Saros has helped Finland secure a couple of silver medals at the World Championships, but he has struggled in the NHL this season. The 29-year-old has posted a disappointing .899 save percentage with an 11-23-6 record. He boasts four shutouts and has a 2.95 goals-against average. Finland is missing several of its top defensemen at the tournament, so Saros will likely face a very busy night against the USA's offense led by Jack Eichel and Auston Matthews.

Jordan Binnington Earns Victory Over Team Sweden
St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington stopped 23 of the 26 shots he faced en route to defeating Team Sweden in overtime on Wednesday evening. Binnington's first blemish came in the second frame when Minnesota's Jonas Brodin beat him on a snapshot. Then, in the third, Sweden was able to score twice, which forced overtime. Los Angeles's Adrian Kempe and Minnesota's Joel Eriksson Ek were able to find the back of the net in that frame. However, Binnington was able to stop all four shots he saw in overtime, which set up Mitch Marner to score the game-winner. Fantasy managers should monitor Binnington's status leading up to their next game on Saturday evening, as he will likely get the starting nod once again. He will have a tougher matchup facing Team USA, who is led by three-time Rocket Richard winner Auston Matthews.

His fellow Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, teammate Sidney Crosby tallied the primary assist, with Edmonton's Connor McDavid adding the secondary helper. MacKinnon also logged a team-high six shots in this game. The 29-year-old also logged three blocked shots and two shots on goal with a plus-two rating. MacKinnon should continue to see elite scoring opportunities in the tournament, playing alongside Crosby and Mark Stone. Before the tournament, MacKinnon tallied seven points over his last two games. He should be viewed as a top play in DFS formats on Saturday evening when he faces Team USA.

Detroit Red Wings right wing Lucas Raymond tallied two assists in his overtime loss to Team Canada on Wednesday evening. In the second frame, Raymond tallied his first assist, which was the secondary helper on Jonas Brodin's goal. Later in the third period, Raymond would add his second secondary assist to set up Minnesota's Joel Eriksson Ek on the game-tying goal. He was also named the third star of the contest and logged three total shots on goal. Despite playing on Team Sweden's third line, Raymond was very productive in this contest. Fantasy managers in DFS formats should consider putting Raymond in their lineup on Saturday when they face Team Finland. Before the tournament, the 22-year-old had tallied 17 points over his previous 15 games with Detroit.

Shea Theodore Out Of 4 Nations Tournament With Injury
According to Willie G Ramirez of the PHWA, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore (arm) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 4 Nations Tournament due to an arm injury. Theodore sustained this injury during the second frame of Wednesday's contest and did not return. Before exiting, Theodore logged just under seven minutes of ice time and did not get on the scoresheet. Travis Sanheim of the Philadelphia Flyers will now enter Team Canada's lineup for the remainder of the tournament. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Theodore's status, as he could be in danger of missing time with the Golden Knights, given the extent of the injury. The 29-year-old is on pace to enjoy a career season at the NHL level, as he tallied 48 points in just 55 games.

Joel Eriksson Ek Available Wednesday
Minnesota Wild center Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) will suit up for Team Sweden for Wednesday's matchup against Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off. There was initially uncertainty surrounding Eriksson Ek after he missed Minnesota's final game before the break due to a lower-body injury. Eriksson Ek, who has recorded nine goals and 23 points in 41 games this season, plays as a top-six forward for Minnesota but will assume more of a checking role with Sweden. He is expected to start on the third line alongside Jesper Bratt of the New Jersey Devils and Lucas Raymond of the Detroit Red Wings.

The 31-year-old also represented Canada at last year's World Championships, posting a 6-2-0 record as Canada finished fourth. Boone Jenner Expected To Return After International Break
According to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, Columbus Blue Jackets center Boone Jenner (shoulder) is expected to return to action following the international break. The 31-year-old has been unable to play this season due to a shoulder injury he sustained during training camp. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their first game against the Chicago Blackhawks on February 22. If Jenner were to be cleared for action, he would likely find a role in the top-six, especially with Sean Monahan (wrist) and Kirill Marchenko (jaw) still sidelined. Across 58 contests last season, Jenner found the back of the net 22 times and added 13 helpers. He will be a viable option in standard formats if he earns top minutes in the offense.

Gustav Forsling Moves Past Illness, Expected To Play On Wednesday
According to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com, Florida Panthers defenseman Gustav Forsling (illness) has returned to practice with Team Sweden and is expected to be cleared to play Wednesday evening against Team Canada. Forsling was unable to participate during Monday's practice, but seeing him return to full participation on Tuesday is a great sign for his status. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his availability leading up to Wednesday's game. During line rushes, Forsling slotted in on the second pairing alongside Buffalo's Rasmus Dahlin. Across 57 contests with Florida this season, Forsling has tallied 21 points (eight goals, 13 helpers) with 52 hits and 64 blocked shots. Given his low offensive outputs, he should be viewed as a low-end option in DFS formats.
