Ryan Graves News
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Ryan Graves suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's 3-2 victory over Columbus. He was limited to only seven shifts and 5.27 of ice time in the contest. Graves' exit left the Penguins without their leading shot-blocker. The 28-year-old has put his body on the line against 142 shots this season while also recording 72 hits in 70 games with 14 points (three goals, 11 assists). John Ludvig will likely enter the lineup if Graves can't play in Saturday's rematch versus the Blue Jackets.
New Jersey Devils defenseman Ryan Graves (upper body) skated Tuesday morning and could be back in the lineup for Game 4 against Carolina. He missed the previous game with an upper-body injury, with Luke Hughes coming in to replace him. Hughes had an impressive playoff debut with two assists and is set to remain in the lineup Tuesday. Graves, who has only one point in nine playoff appearances this year, looks set to replace Kevin Bahl if he's good to go.
New Jersey Devils defenseman Ryan Graves (lower body) was been ruled out for Sunday's Game 4 against Carolina. The 27-year-old was injured in Friday's Game 2 of the second-round series and will give up his spot to Luke Hughes. Greaves is a big physical presence for the Devils who has recorded 27 hits in nine playoff games this season. Hughes, the younger brother of Devils star forward Jack, has yet to feature in the Stanley Cup Playoffs but did skate in two games for the team during the end of the regular season. He made an immediate impact with a goal and an assist, but playoff hockey is set to prove the 19-year-old with a whole other challenge.
New Jersey Devils defenseman Ryan Graves (lower body) won't be in the lineup Friday versus Boston. He suffered a lower-body injury against Florida on Wednesday and he is still under evaluation. The 27-year-old boasts nine points from the season with 49 shots, 42 hits and 53 blocks added in 33 appearances. Damon Severson played massive minutes following Graves' injury on Wednesday and should do so again against the Bruins. He's had a poor season so far, but a bigger role could help him to get going.
