Justin Faulk News
St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk will miss the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury. Faulk was injured in the second period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks on Saturday following an altercation with Sharks forward Luke Kunin. He missed a game against the Ducks on Sunday. "I think he's week to week. We want to be cautious with his injury," St. Louis coach Drew Bannister said after practice on Tuesday. Even if this was two months ago, it would still be week to week with him. It is what it is. The veteran has tallied two goals and 30 points in 60 games on the season after posting 11 goals and a career-high 50 points across 82 games a season ago. The Blues sit five points back of the Golden Knights for the second and final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference but Vegas holds a game in hand.
St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk sustained an upper-body injury in Saturday's contest against San Jose. He didn't appear for the third period after being involved in a fight with San Jose's Luke Kunin. Faulk racked up 17 penalty minutes in the contest. He also had three shots, one block, and one hit across 13:20 of action. The 32-year-old has averaged 0.5 points per game, notching two goals and 28 assists in 60 outings. There are also 83 hits and 104 blocks on his account, so Faulk would be missed at both ends of the ice if he's out for a stretch.
The St. Louis Blues have activated defenseman Justin Faulk (lower body) from long-term Injured Reserve. The veteran blue-liner has missed the past 12 games due to a lower-body injury but is back in time for a divisional clash with the Winnipeg Jets on Monday. Faulk also missed five games earlier in the season with a separate lower-body ailment. The 13-year veteran's production has taken a sizeable dip this season following a career-best 50 points in all 82 games last season. Faulk has just two goals and 19 points in 40 games on the season to go along with 90 shots on goal, 52 hits, 77 blocks, and a minus-five rating. The Blues enter Monday's contest with Winnipeg at 30-25-2, good for fifth place in the Central Division and 15 points back of the Jets.
St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk (lower body) will return to action on Saturday against Boston. Following a five-game absence, Faulk was activated from Injured Reserve on Friday, and his return will bump Marco Scandella out of the lineup. Faulk has been a two-way force for St. Louis, with 17 points (two goals, 15 assists), 82 shots, 45 hits, and 68 blocks registered across 35 games. He's slated to skate with Scott Perunovich on the third defensive pairing.
