Tyler Seguin News
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin may come out of the lineup for rest when the team takes on the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Seguin suffered an upper-body injury on Feb. 22 and missed the team's next 11 games. He could come out to manage his workload as the Western Conference-leading Stars look to embark on a deep postseason run. "It's management between the sports science and the trainers and [coaches]," Stars coach Pete DeBoer said Friday. "Depending on how he's feeling, obviously back to backs you have to think about whether you want to play him." The veteran has posted 23 goals and 50 points on 143 shots across 64 games on the season, his 14th in the NHL.
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin (lower body) will be back in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Arizona Coyotes. The veteran has missed the past 11 games due to a lower-body injury. "In a season, you feel great for maybe 15-20 games and the rest is just kind of part of the season, and playoffs is a whole different story," Seguin said. The 32-year-old has recorded 20 goals and 45 points across 58 games on the season, firing 129 shots on goal in that time while putting forth a plus-nine rating. The Stars enter Wednesday's contest sitting third in the competitive Central Division with a 41-19-9 record, two points back of the first-place Winnipeg Jets.
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin is listed as week-to-week due to a lower-body injury. The veteran missed Saturday's contest versus the Carolina Hurricanes and will be unavailable for some additional time. "He's been dealing with something from even prior to that game," head coach Peter DeBoer said, referring to a loss to the Ottawa Senators on Feb. 22. "It hasn't gotten better. It's actually gotten worse. I think the Ottawa game was the last straw." The 32-year-old is in the midst of a solid season as he has recorded 20 goals and 45 points on 29 shots across 58 games, registering a plus-nine rating on a very good Dallas team. The Stars sit first in the Central Division with a 35-16-8 record, although the second-place Winnipeg Jets are just one point behind with three games in hand.
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin will sit out Saturday's game against Carolina with a lower-body injury. The veteran is exiting the lineup for the first time in 2023-24. It's been a solid campaign for Seguin, who's on track for his most productive year in six seasons. He has totaled 20 goals and 45 points in 58 games. AHL standout Logan Stankoven will drawn into the lineup as Seguin's replacement. The 20-year-old will aim to impress in his NHL debut after racking up 57 points (24 goals, 33 assists) in 47 appearances in the minors.
